Con Ramón descubrimos la arcilla colorada de los márgenes del río Calchaquí, que él mismo extrae y procesa. Formado desde pequeño por su abuela diaguita, hoy reinterpreta las técnicas ancestrales de la alfarería para crear piezas únicas y trascendentes. 

Ramón es un enamorado del arte y de la materia, de la plasticidad del barro, del poder sin límites de la expresividad y las formas. Artista premiado en varias ocasiones, mantiene su humildad intacta y explica todo el proceso con gran pasión y sin secretos.

Cada pieza es única, son obras relucientes de color negro intenso, que se alcanza con la técnica de reducción en horno de barro artesanal, sin pigmentos ni esmaltes, pura arcilla que muta de color al impregnarse del humo intenso adentro del horno, confiriéndole además una resistencia mayor.

Lo llamamos el "Henry Moore de la cultura diaguita", ya que sus obras generalmente representan abstracciones de la figura humana, con un estilo casi cubista y muy moderno. Sus esculturas funden técnicas ancestrales del pueblo diaguita y la visión moderna del artista para unir el pasado y el futuro en un objeto que enamora. 

With Ramón, we discovered the red clay from the banks of the Calchaquí River, which he extracts and processes himself. Trained from a young age by his Diaguita grandmother, he now reinterprets ancestral pottery techniques to create unique and transcendent pieces.

Ramón is passionate about art and materials, about the plasticity of clay, about the boundless power of expression and form. An award-winning artist, he remains humble and explains the entire process with great passion and without secrets.

Each piece is unique, a gleaming work of intense black, achieved through a reduction firing technique in a traditional clay kiln. Without pigments or glazes, he uses pure clay that transforms in color as it absorbs the intense smoke inside the kiln, also giving it greater strength.

We call him the "Henry Moore of Diaguita culture" since his pieces generally represent abstractions of the human figure, with an almost Cubist and very modern style. His sculptures fuse ancestral techniques of the Diaguita people and the artist's modern vision to unite the past and the future in an object that captivates.
